The Roysia Women’s Club Supports Headway
The Roysia Women’s Club has made a donation of £855 to Headway Cambridgeshire.
Headway volunteer Gill went to meet the members of the club at Royston Town Hall on Monday 2 March 2015 and to receive the cheque from the Club’s Chair, Joan Hill.
Roysia Women’s Club is a social group who adopted Headway Cambridgeshire as their Charity Of The Year during 2014. They raised this donation among themselves through such activities as: tombola & raffles, selling off excess fruit & veg they had grown, informal sponsored walks, guess the weight of a baby.
They had chosen Headway Cambridgeshire after hosting a visit and talk from the charity, accompanied by a man in rehabilitation after a head injury. The group found the subject of Headway Cambridgeshire’s support of brain injured adults through its hub services and community work very interesting.
We are very grateful to the members of the Roysia Women’s Club for all their very hard work and kind generosity. It means so much to us to have the support of the local community and this donation will help us continue to provide high quality rehabilitation activities to our clients.
Staff and clients at Headway Cambridgeshire thank you all.
