The Malcolm Williams Award 2015
Each year, we present the Malcolm Williams Award to a Headway Cambridgeshire client. The award recognises the efforts and achievements a client has made in their life following their brain injury. Clients can be nominated by Headway Cambridgeshire staff or by other clients. The award is presented annually in memory of the late Malcolm Williams, who attended Headway Cambridgeshire as a client some years ago. Our Peterborough Hub Service Is Moving To Thorpe Hall
Headway Cambridgeshire is delighted to announce that we are moving our Peterborough Hub Service to Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough, which is run by the charity Sue Ryder. We have been offered space in the West Wing, comprising space for our rehabilitation sessions, an open plan kitchen and an office area, as well as a room where we will set up a small gym for our clients to use. Andrew steps out to raise cash for brain injury charity
A brain injured friend inspired a fitness enthusiast to raise money for the Headway Cambridgeshire charity. Andrew Thomas took part in the Perkins Great Eastern Run half marathon in Peterborough aid of the group, which supports people with brain injuries and their families. But instead of running the 13.1 miles, Andrew competed as a Nordic walker using specially designed poles which help propel him along.
