Mayor of Cambridge, Gerri Bird visits Headway Cambridgeshire
Headway Cambridgeshire was delighted to host a visit by the Mayor of Cambridge, Councillor Gerri Bird, to its Fulbourn hub on Wednesday 13 August 2014. She came with her partner Mr Alan Pooley, JP, to look round and talk to clients and she ended up cycling in the gym! Headway Cambridgeshire celebrates its first 25 years.
Founded in 1989, this year Headway Cambridgeshire celebrates its 25th Anniversary. To mark the occasion we held an Anniversary Party on the afternoon of Saturday 19 July 2014 at our Cambridge hub .With clients, we planned an outdoors event: a garden party and summer fete. St George Supports Local Headway
Headway Cambridgeshire’s community clients attending the monthly social and support group were very pleased to receive a donation to help support the setting up of the Wisbech Cognition Group. On Tuesday 25 June the group were joined by Councillor Viv McCrae and Peter Dennis from the Fenland Branch of the Royal Society of St George, who presented a cheque donation £300. New Wisbech Support Group Opens
The Mayor of Wisbech, Viv MacRae, has openied a new support group for people in Wisbech who are living with the effects of brain injury. Councillor MacRae was accompanied by her husband, Consort Gary MacRae, and Town Beadle, Alister Hopkins at the inaugural meeting of the group held at The Case in Horsefair, Wisbech. St Neots Mayor’s Donation
St Neots councillors visited Headway House on Wednesday 27 June 2012 to learn about the work we do as a local charity supporting all those who are living with the effects of brain injury. During the visit we were presented with a cheque for £2,000 by Deputy Mayor of St Neots, Andrew Hansard. Accompanying the Deputy Mayor was Councillor Stephen Davison who braved a sponsored 300 foot bungee jump for the charity last summer raising nearly £200. Mayor Gets Heads Up on Brain Injury Charity
Headway Cambridgeshire welcomed Cambridge Mayor and the Mayoress, Councillor Ian and Margaret Nimmo-Smith, to the day service at Headway House in central Cambridge on 19 April 2012. Carol Service at St Barnabas Church
Over 100 friends, clients and supporters of Headway Cambridgeshire attended a special carol service at St Barnabus Church in Mill Road this week.
Among the guests were the Mayor of St Neots, Councillor Barry Chapman, and Councillor Stephen Davison. His Honour the Mayor has adopted Headway Cambridgeshire as his chosen charity for the year and is raising funds as well as raising awareness of our work. St Neots Councillor Jumps for Headway
The Mayor of St Neots has made Headway Cambridgeshire one of his chosen charities, choosing to raise funds in support of our work with brain injured adults, their families and carers across the county.Councillor Stephen Davison came up with a very a bold fundraising idea as he made a 300 foot bungee jump at Windsor over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
