How you can support Headway Cambridgeshire
FUNDRAISING
We are a registered charity and need to raise a lot of money to deliver our core services as they are not all funded through fees.
Each year we receive funding from a variety of charitable trusts and foundations for which we are truly grateful. However, we are now looking to expand our services further and to develop new resources. If any trust or foundation is interested in finding out more or would like to visit us to find out firsthand what we do, please contact:

Corporate Support
We have begun working with corporate supporters and have really enjoyed building strong relationships. Companies get involved with sponsorship, staff fundraising and volunteering, mentoring and corporate team activities. We, in turn, have strong links with the media and endeavour to promote these companies to raise awareness of the company and all we do. Find out more about becoming a corporate supporter
In Memoriam and Legacy Giving
We have many donations made in memory of a loved one, or gifts are left in wills. This is very special to us and to the families. Find out more about giving us a gift in your will
Organise Your Own Event or Challenge
Each year, members of the community organise fundraising events for us or take on challenges, and have fun along the way. We can help with your fundraising by marketing and providing resources - contact us on 01223 576550 if you would like help with this. Many people set up a JustGiving page to collect sponsorship money or donations for their challenge or event. Find out more about setting up a fundraising page on JustGiving
“We are running a half marathon to raise money for Headway Cambridgeshire, who has been and will continue to be brilliant and provide advice and support for our friend and his family during our friend’s rehabilitation process.” Amy, Headway supporter
We would like to thank all our fundraisers and donors, companies, trusts and foundations that support us. Without them all, we would not be able to offer the services that we do.
VOLUNTEERING
Can you spare some time to make a huge difference to improving the lives of people living with a brain injury?
We are looking for people who are confident and self-motivated to support our work across the organisation and in particular to help our clients to achieve specific goals that will help them overcome barriers to their independence.
Our volunteers take part in a wide variety of challenging and rewarding roles based on their interests, skills and experiences.
We offer volunteer opportunities at our hubs in Cambridge, Huntingdon and Peterborough and in the community across Cambridgeshire.
Our opportunities include:
Supporting people with a brain injury in a group setting or on a 1:1 basis
Sharing specific skills or activities with people with a brain injury
Working within our fundraising team
Working within our administration team
In return for your time we can offer a comprehensive induction and training programme, on-going support and development, as well as re imbursement of out-of- pocket expenses.
