Chief Executive Update 25 November 2011

Date Posted: 25-11-2011

We begin by offering a warm welcome to Jan Forster who joined the Headway Cambridgeshire staff this week as Volunteer Projects Co-ordinator for Peterborough. With other recent personnel changes, this latest appointment strengthens and develops our community and volunteer support across the county of Cambridgeshire.

We also welcome new volunteer Lynne McCauley, who will be concentrating on extending our fundraising database and developing new relationships with companies in our area. She will be in each week, over the next six months, working very closely with our fundraising manager, Karen Bevan.

As we continue to develop our social media and PR strategy, work on the new website is progressing well. We will be approaching individuals to write or amend existing copy for the new website. We have continued to canvas staff, clients and carers for their views and we would be delighted with active participation!

We are pleased to let you know that the Board of Trustees support the acquisition of premises more suited to our long-term service delivery plans. This is a significant time for us and we do want to ensure that everyone is involved in the proposed move. We will ensure that all staff will have the opportunity to visit the proposed premises, together of course with clients, volunteers, families and carers. We will be setting up user and staff groups and updating everyone regularly on what is happening.
