Headway Cambridgeshire is a well-established local charity providing holistic, person centred support and services to people with a brain injury.
We are looking to recruit highly motivated male and female Community Rehabilitation Workers to work within our dynamic team at Headway Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Community Rehabilitation Support Workers provide support to clients to enable them to achieve their goals in the community.
These could include:
* Re-learning how to use public transport
* Learning how to use the local library
* Meal planning and shopping
* Budgeting
* Managing cognitive challenges
* Researching and identifying appropriate community facilities
* Support into volunteering
Successful candidates should ideally have relevant experience of working in a support role or relevant community work, flexible communication skills and a good level of written English. An ability to show an understanding through experience of the client group would be an advantage. Other relevant experience will be considered as Brain Injury Training will form part of the induction process.
