Suzy qualified as a social worker in 2005 and since then has worked mainly within the charity sector. She began her work with Headway Cambridgeshire in the summer of 2017 and during this time she managed the Community Independence Service. Suzy now works as the Service Lead. Her previous employment includes six years with the charity Crisis U.K. supporting those who are homeless or vulnerably housed. During her time at Crisis she set up and delivered a mental health support service commissioned by Tower Hamlets PCT. Additional experience includes a management role within the Bedford branch of One Support; a housing floating support service for vulnerable adults, as well as two years management experience within the advisory service for Cambridge Penderels Trust, supporting clients with the management of personal health budgets and direct payments.

I struggled with a lot of issues, especially how I felt my father’s personality had changed and Headway Cambridgeshire helped me a lot at that time in my life. They made me feel much less alone and I’ll always be grateful for that.
