Kathy Bullock has replaced Austin Willett as Chief Executive of Headway Cambridgeshire.
“I am pleased to be taking on the role of Chief Executive of Headway Cambridgeshire. I look forward to leading the charity through the next phase of its development. I have worked for ten years for the organisation and I am very proud of the services we offer. We take a very tailored approach to our clients’ needs and aspirations and there is no other local organisation that offers the same on-going support for people with brain injuries.
It’s a difficult time for all charities since we are competing for ever dwindling funds and in addition we also have to move to new premises early next year, however, I have every confidence in the team here and I know that everyone will work together to ensure that we continue to provide a high standard of support and rehabilitation. I am continually inspired by the way our clients face the often complex challenges wrought by brain injury and I will do all that I can to ensure their dedication to improving their health is matched by my efforts to ensure they have the best environment to do so.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Austin Willett our out-going Chief Executive who has worked so hard for the last two years for Headway Cambridgeshire.”
“ The Hospital Brain Injury Co-ordinator became someone who absolutely understood how I felt, I didn’t need to explain. I could talk about my fears and worries. She was such a great support through the difficult days, but could also celebrate the small step successes, which was important to me. ”
