Long term supporters, the Cambridgeshire Trail Riders Fellowship, undertook another of their massively long motor bike rides down the tracks and green lanes of the county. Despite the heat and the dust and obstacles en route, 50 riders did 260 miles between dawn and dusk and in the process raised £2000 for Headway Cambridgeshire.
We would like to thank each one of them, particularly the rider who met a rope across his path and was thrown off his bike. We were glad to hear that he didn't suffer any serious injuries.
It is because of wonderful supporters like this that we are able to continue to provide much needed services for people with brain injuries.
“ The Hospital Brain Injury Co-ordinator became someone who absolutely understood how I felt, I didn’t need to explain. I could talk about my fears and worries. She was such a great support through the difficult days, but could also celebrate the small step successes, which was important to me. ”
