Adrian Cambridge and his colleague Dave Weare who work at A J W Distribution ran the Cambridge Half Marathon on Sunday to raise money for us. Adrian's father Glen is one of our hub clients and Adrian, better known as Ada, is keen to support other people with brain injuries. He has raised money for the charity in the past. He says of the race:
“Yesterday was amazing, the support from everybody around the course was incredible. I don’t think Dave and I can believe the amount we have raised on our just giving page. We also have cash donations so we possibly will have collected just over £2000. It's great to know the money is going to such a worthwhile cause."
We would like to thank them very much for their efforts and also our colleague Sophie Parker who ran the race in support of us too.
“ The Hospital Brain Injury Co-ordinator became someone who absolutely understood how I felt, I didn’t need to explain. I could talk about my fears and worries. She was such a great support through the difficult days, but could also celebrate the small step successes, which was important to me. ”
