Hats for Headway is an annual awareness and fundraising campaign by Headway UK in which people are asked to wear silly or wacky hats to their place of work, donate £2 and post a photo on social media. This year it takes place on Friday 15th May.
At Headway Cambridgeshire, we like to put our own spin on the event. Last year we did photos of ‘Pets in Hats’ and this time we want to showcase your brilliant art and creative work with ‘Famous Hats’.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to recreate a famous piece of artwork which features hats. This could be anything from Van Gogh's "Self Portrait in a Straw Hat" to Picasso's "Woman in Hat and Fur Collar" - we don’t mind what it is as long as there’s a hat in the picture!
It’s up to you which media you use, it could be pen, pencil, watercolours, acrylic paint, pastels, charcoal or anything else you have at home.
If you would like to take part, all you have to do is create your piece of art and then send a photo of it to Sophie at email@example.com before Friday 15th May, so we can share it on our social media accounts.
For more information, please email Sophie at the above address or phone 01223 576550.
We look forward to seeing your recreations!
“ As a brain injured person it can sometimes be hard to feel positive about your progress but the gym instructor at Headway Cambridgeshire pushes me in the right direction and helps me to feel more enthusiastic about what I am able to achieve and what I might achieve in the future. ”
