Headway Cambridgeshire are pleased to offer 1:1 support through our Community Connections course, aimed at bringing participants closer to accessing training or employment and feeling more connected with their local community. Whether you have aspirations for a few hours volunteering a month to a full-time job, or would just like to find the direction you want to start looking in for the future, this could help you move towards your employment, volunteering or social engagement goals.
Sessions may encompass goal setting, CV writing, support to access training courses, job search, application writing, and interview skills. Where possible, participants are also signposted to relevant social groups and community services in order to develop peer support and improved overall well being.
You will be suitable for support if you have a brain injury, are currently unemployed, have the right to live and work in the UK and are eligible for or eventually looking for employment or volunteering.
To find out more please contact Stacy Mineart on 01223 576550 or email@example.com
Funding for this course has come from the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund
“ The Hospital Brain Injury Co-ordinator became someone who absolutely understood how I felt, I didn’t need to explain. I could talk about my fears and worries. She was such a great support through the difficult days, but could also celebrate the small step successes, which was important to me. ”
