Have you had a brain injury?

Would you like to take part in some research?

We’re inviting people to take part in a research study, looking into how people adjust to life after brain injury.

The research forms part of a PhD thesis and is not part of the services being offered by Headway Cambridgeshire. However, the results will go towards developing future services and support for people with a brain injury.

What will I be asked to do?

You will be asked to complete some questionnaires which ask about how your family functions, coping styles, how you feel about your brain injury and a general short cognitive test.

Am I right for the study?

To take part you must have had your brain injury after you were 18 years old and at least two years ago. You must have a family member willing to take part in the family member section of the study.

How long will it take?

You will need to commit about an hour of your time.

How do I find out more?

If you would like to volunteer to take part in this research project or would like more information, please contact Sharon Buckland by email: sharon.buckland@pgr.anglia.ac.uk

As a brain injured person it can sometimes be hard to feel positive about your progress but the gym instructor at Headway Cambridgeshire pushes me in the right direction and helps me to feel more enthusiastic about what I am able to achieve and what I might achieve in the future.
