Visit And Donation From The Rotary Club of Ely

25th February, 2016

Once again the Rotary Club of Ely has generously awarded a donation of £200 to Headway Cambridgeshire, to help fund the work we carry out in support of local adults with brain injury.

On Thursday 18 February, we were pleased to host a return visit from Mr Mike Bentley, Chair of the club’s Community Service Committee.

Headway Cambridgeshire’s Chief Executive Austin Willett welcomed Mike back to our Cambridge hub to see the rehabilitation work being carried out in the client sessions.

As our charity is dependent on donations and fundraising to help us support our clients and their family & carers, it means a lot to us to receive support from the local community.

Staff and clients at Headway Cambridgeshire really appreciate this donation from the members of the Rotary Club of Ely – Thank You All!

The Hospital Brain Injury Co-ordinator became someone who absolutely understood how I felt, I didn’t need to explain. I could talk about my fears and worries. She was such a great support through the difficult days, but could also celebrate the small step successes, which was important to me.
