Stories From Headway Cambridgeshire

People who sustain a brain injury often find that the shape of their lives is altered completely by what has happened to them. Previously made plans seem impossible to achieve. At Headway Cambridgeshire it is our mission to support people to identify, achieve and celebrate each milestone along the path to rehabilitation.

Stories from Headway Cambridgeshire

“I contacted Headway because I had lost my home. Thanks to Headway I spoke up for myself at meetings and had the support I needed with forms. Now I have a kitchen and bathroom that meet my physical needs. I want to get my garden looking nice so that I can enjoy it in the summer with my friends.” Jean, Headway client.

“I joined in 2005. When I first came, I could barely walk. My work in the Headway gym means that I now can walk all the way down the corridor without a stick. In the future I hope to go be able to travel to some of the places I have never been to.” Anne, Headway client.

“When I first came to Headway in 2010, I thought my life was over. Whilst at Headway I discovered I was good at art and I sold a piece in an exhibition. In the future I want to have an exhibition of all my work.” Mark, Headway client.

It is a privilege to be part of these individual journeys as people discover new goals and new achievements.

Every penny raised through our fundraising activities enables people to reach their milestones and make the future something to look forward to.
