Hayley Turner Racing History Donation

5th December, 2011

At the beginning of July, Hayley Turner became the first female jockey to win a Group One race outright at the Darley July Cup at Newmarket. She very kindly donated a signed display photo of the racing colours she wore to her historic victory to Headway Cambridgeshire. She invited Headway to auction this item of horse racing memorabilia to raise funds for the charitable work we carry out in support of brain injured adults, their families and carers. Congratulations to the lucky highest bidder who donated £266 to own this souvenir and thanks to Hayley for donating it.

As a brain injured person it can sometimes be hard to feel positive about your progress but the gym instructor at Headway Cambridgeshire pushes me in the right direction and helps me to feel more enthusiastic about what I am able to achieve and what I might achieve in the future.
