Anglia Ruskin Men's Rugby Team (Cambridge) are hosting a charity event for Headway Cambridgeshire.
Committee member Ryan has chosen to support the charity Headway Cambridgeshire after suffering a major head injury, four years previously. At the time, the injury had an adverse effect on Ryan’s speech, his ability to write and also affected his social skills.
Ryan appreciated having support from Headway Cambridgeshire through his first couple of years of university and now he says: “I feel it would be fitting to give back by holding such an event.”
The event is a retro themed club night in the Anglia Ruskin Student Union, which can hold up to 400 people.
The event is on Saturday 3 October, the last night of Fresher’s Week. Tickets will are just £4 pound each, making it affordable for any student budget.
“ I struggled with a lot of issues, especially how I felt my father’s personality had changed and Headway Cambridgeshire helped me a lot at that time in my life. They made me feel much less alone and I’ll always be grateful for that. ”
