One of the Headway Cambridgeshire hub groups have been working on an exciting animation project for some time now. It is coming to the stage where all the hard preparation work is starting to pay off. Here Wendy gives us an update on progress:
"We started working on this project quite a while ago. We thought it would be interesting but it has proved to be so absorbing but also time consuming. We really enjoyed doing it. It's been what you could say is a labour of love.
We got to a point a few weeks ago we felt more people should find out about it, so we invited a reporter from the local television channel 'Cambridge TV' to come along. Adam came along and filmed us at work using a light box to record the stop-go animation. We had drawn the characters and cut them out. We had done everything that needed to be done ourselves - nobody had done it for us. Adam spent most of the day talking to us and filming. He was very understanding and I think he has done us proud. You can find out about it and see the film on their website here. "
“ As a brain injured person it can sometimes be hard to feel positive about your progress but the gym instructor at Headway Cambridgeshire pushes me in the right direction and helps me to feel more enthusiastic about what I am able to achieve and what I might achieve in the future. ”
