Training and Courses

Raising awareness of the effects of brain injury is key to improving understanding of what is often referred to as an “invisible” or “hidden” injury.

Through our specialist training programmes we aim to:

  • Increase awareness and knowledge of brain injury and its possible effects
  • Empower people with a brain injury and their families and carers to understand and manage the effects of their injury within their daily lives
  • Enable people to adjust to life with a brain injury and to identify and fulfil their goals
  • Help those working with individuals with a brain injury to recognise the specific needs and challenges faced by someone with a brain injury and to access specialist support where required.

Whether you are someone with a brain injury, a family member / carer or someone who works with or may come into contact with someone with a brain injury, we can provide a range of education and training options to meet your needs.

For people with a brain injury, families and carers

We offer relaxed and inclusive workshops across the county. These sessions provide information and practical strategies around some commonly experienced issues as well as a chance to learn specific skills such as horticulture.

Growing Together

I struggled with a lot of issues, especially how I felt my father’s personality had changed and Headway Cambridgeshire helped me a lot at that time in my life. They made me feel much less alone and I’ll always be grateful for that.
