Facts and Figures
From April 1 2009 to 31 March 2010:
We have continued to extend and improve our services to brain injured adults, their families and carers. We've also built stronger links and relationships with the medical, social and care professions.
Over the last year we have:
- Provided 5267 day service attendances
- Extended our day service to 3 centres
- Supported more than 100 families at Addenbrooke's Hospital Neurotrauma Clinic
- Advised and supported 494 families and carers across Cambridgeshire
- Run 'Understanding Brain Injury' training courses for 49 professional delegates
- Provided work placement opportunities for 12 students age 16-18
- Accepted 2 student social workers from UEA on 3-month work placements
- Welcomed 11 Cambridge University medical students for half-day observation visits
- Supported a modern apprenticeship candidate for NVQ level 3 in care
- Extended our Social & Support Groups to include 4 per month across the county
- Been assisted by volunteers giving us 2227 hours of their time
